We earn a commission when you register through a link on this site. It costs you nothing extra. The referral discount is applied to your fees regardless. Information only. Not investment advice.

What the MEXC code actually gives you

MEXC's code applies a 10% discount, which sounds unremarkable until you look at what it is discounting. MEXC charges nothing at all on spot maker orders and 0.02% on futures takers — the cheapest schedule of any venue on this site by a wide margin.

This produces a counterintuitive result that the calculator makes visible. A 10% discount here saves you less in absolute terms than a 20% discount at a more expensive venue, and still leaves you paying less overall. Comparing discount percentages between exchanges is the most common mistake in this category, and MEXC is the clearest illustration of why it is wrong.

MEXC also does not require identity verification for basic trading, which is unusual among the venues here. Withdrawal limits apply without it, and policy has tightened across the sector, so confirm the current requirement rather than relying on its historical reputation.

How to make sure the MEXC code applies

  1. Register through the referral link

MEXC carries the invite code as a URL parameter. It binds at account creation and cannot be added later.

  2. Check the invite code field before submitting

The registration form shows the code when the link carried it correctly. If it is blank, enter the code manually.

  3. Decide on verification level

MEXC allows some activity without full KYC but with lower withdrawal limits. Complete verification if you intend to move meaningful size, and do it before depositing rather than after.

  4. Check order book depth before trading a small cap

On a thinly traded listing, look at the actual bid and ask sizes rather than the 24-hour volume figure. If the visible depth is smaller than your intended position, you will move the price against yourself getting in and again getting out.
