Privacy policy

CoinRefCodes does not require an account, and there is nothing on this site to sign up for. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal detail.

When you click an outbound link to an exchange, we record a single event containing: which exchange the link was for, which page on this site it came from, the country your request came from as reported by our hosting provider, the host name of the referring site if you arrived from elsewhere, any campaign parameters in the URL, and whether the request came from a mobile or desktop browser.

We do not store IP addresses. We do not store full referrer URLs, only the host name, because a full URL can carry search terms, session identifiers and private path segments from the referring site that we have no use for.

We do not store raw browser user-agent strings; they are reduced to a device category at the point of collection and the original string is discarded. We do not attempt to identify or profile individual visitors, and we do not build cross-site profiles.

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Your language preference is determined from the URL, not from a stored identifier.

Exchanges you click through to set their own cookies under their own policies, over which we have no control. Read the privacy policy of any exchange before creating an account with it.

To know which pages are useful. Click data tells us which exchange pages people actually act on and which languages the site is serving, which is what determines where we invest further research and writing.

It is aggregate information about pages, not about people. There is no identifier in it that could be tied back to you.
