Affiliate disclosure

We are paid when you register through our links

CoinRefCodes participates in the affiliate and referral programmes of the exchanges listed on this site. When you create an account through a link or code published here, the exchange pays us a share of the trading fees that account generates. On most exchanges this continues for as long as the account keeps trading.

This is how the site is funded. There is no charge to use it, no subscription, and no paid placement.

It costs you nothing, and usually saves you money

The commission comes out of fees the exchange already collects. It is not added to your costs. Where an exchange supports it, part of that commission is returned to you as a standing discount on your trading fees, which means registering with a code is cheaper than registering without one.

If you sign up without a referral code, the exchange simply keeps the entire fee.

Commission does not determine ranking

Comparison tables on this site are sorted by what you pay, or by whichever column you select. The rate we receive from each exchange is recorded internally so that we can judge which exchanges justify further research and writing, but it is never used as a sort key and never affects an exchange's position in a table.

Where we could not confirm that an exchange operates a public referral programme, we say so on that exchange's page rather than publishing an offer we cannot stand behind.

We do not pay private cashback

Any discount or rebate described on this site is applied by the exchange itself, through its own referral system, and appears in your exchange account. We never send money separately, and we do not operate a scheme where you claim a share of our commission from us.

This is deliberate rather than stingy. Several exchanges, Binance among them, explicitly prohibit affiliates from privately sharing commission with the people they refer, and penalise it by cutting or voiding the affiliate's commission entirely. Sites that advertise private cashback are either breaching those terms or relying on you not checking. It also means their promise depends on them continuing to pay you, whereas an exchange-applied discount does not depend on us at all.

If a site tells you it will send you part of its commission, ask how you would ever verify that it did. Every benefit described here appears in your exchange account, where you can check it.

We are independent of the exchanges

CoinRefCodes is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any exchange listed here beyond the affiliate relationships described above. We have no input into their fee schedules, listing decisions, or terms of service, and no ability to intervene on your behalf in a dispute with them.
