What the Gopax code actually gives you
The Gopax invite code pays up to 10,000 KRW to a new user. The second largest signup reward among the Korean venues here, behind Bithumb. That ceiling is not automatic; qualifying usually requires identity verification, a linked bank account and a completed first trade.
Read the reward against the fee before deciding it settles the question. Gopax charges 0.20% on both sides, and it is the only Korean exchange here with no route below its base rate. Bithumb has a free coupon to 0.04% and Coinone has a voucher; Gopax's own API reports a flat 0.2% on every one of its 115 KRW pairs, with no tier or plan beneath it.
So a 10,000 KRW bonus arrives once, while the fee gap applies to every trade you ever make. At any regular trading volume the bonus is cancelled out fairly quickly. Gopax makes sense for a listing the larger venues do not carry, or to spread counterparty exposure, not on cost.
How to make sure the Gopax code applies
Consider whether the fee difference is worth it
At 0.20%, Gopax costs five times what Bithumb charges per trade. Unless you specifically need a listing the larger venues do not carry, the cost difference is hard to justify.
Confirm you meet the Korean residency requirement
Korean identity verification, a Korean mobile number and a bank account in your own name at a Korean bank are required.
Enter the invite code during signup
Gopax registration is only available in the mobile app. The code has to be typed into the invite field during the signup flow, it cannot be applied once the account already exists.
Complete verification before depositing
Identity verification and bank account linkage must be completed before deposits and trading are enabled.

What is actually credited depends on meeting the conditions, which typically include completing a first trade. It is a one-off reward and does not reduce your trading fee afterwards.
